Lessons Learned

In the middle of March when I was told I couldn’t go to gyms, cafes, and restaurants, I lost it.

I was frustrated, annoyed, angry, and depressed.

Two and a half months later, I don’t care if I ever step foot in a gym, cafe, and restaurant again.

I’m not saying I won’t. I will. I still enjoy the experience and social aspect.

But I learned I don’t need it. I learned not to rely on it. That’s empowering.

I can workout in my apartment and outside with minimal equipment. I can make my own coffee and food.

It doesn’t take long to change our behaviors, form new habits, and create new patterns.

In this case, I was forced to adapt. I had no choice.

Sometimes certain events can be a blessing in disguise.

This proves we can change. We can do it willingly on our own terms with whatever we choose.

Don’t rely on others and put your happiness in the hands of others. We need less than we think to survive. We can be content and happy with less.

Anything can be taken away from us at any given moment. Remember that.
