Speeding Ticket

About 10 years ago, I got a speeding ticket. I got out of it. I used my “connections”.

I got a speeding ticket within the past year. I may have been able to name drop or contacted one of my “connections” to get me out if it, but I didn’t.

Somewhere in the past 10 years, I’ve changed. I’ve matured.

I’ve learned to accept responsibility for my actions.

Whether I agree with the speed limit or not, the law is the law. I drove over the speed limit. I broke the law. I got caught. I should deal with the consequences.

We all make mistakes. We all make bad choices and decisions. Messing up hurts.

When we do something wrong, own it. Be respectful. Say sorry. Apologize.

Learn from it. Then move on and forward.

Be accountable. Be responsible. Do the right thing. Don’t take easy way out. You’ll be stronger and better for it.
