Broken Family

I come from a broken family.

I wouldn’t change it. It’s made me who I am.

My family is small. My family isn’t close-knit. My family has had their share of problems and issues.

My parents were divorced. My mom committed suicide. I’ve had my share of problems and know my sister has as well.

We always want what we don’t have, right?

That’s why I value family and preach the importance of family.

My family is not picturesque. There’s not much left.

If you come from a “normal” functioning family, take time to give thanks and appreciate the gift you’ve been blessed with.

For the rest of us who are “broken” and permanently scarred, let’s keep healing and putting the pieces back together.

Thank you dad for being a constant for 32 years. Thank you to my wife for being a constant for 13 years. I’ve been blessed with you.
