Guilty for Blessings

I feel guilty for living the life I do.

I’m grateful for my life and the abundance and goodness, but I can’t help but think that…

there are people in this world who
are starving without food,
must walk miles for water,
are homeless with no shelter,
have no clothing,
have no means of transportation,
are unhealthy,
are alone with no family and love,
have no health insurance, and
have no access to healthcare.

These are hard facts for me to swallow. It hurts my heart knowing there are people out there struggling, suffering, and in pain.

I feel guilty for being blessed. It’s our duty to help these people. If we are fortunate and blessed, we have a responsibility to do something about it.
