Endure

Fight through the pain and discomfort.

You are stronger than you realize. You are capable of more than you know. You have more left in the tank.

Build physical and mental toughness.

Subjective

Certain words are subjective.

Best is subjective. Worst is subjective.

Right is subjective. Wrong is subjective.

Good is subjective. Bad is subjective.

Life is gray. We use reason and judgement.

What one thinks is best, right, and good, another may think is worst, wrong, and bad.

There are some things we may agree on, but there are plenty of things we don’t.

We will always have different thoughts, ideas, opinions, and perspectives.

We are different. We think differently. We feel differently.

We have different experiences. We come from different backgrounds. We were raised differently.

The next time you think one way, remember there is somebody who thinks differently, perhaps the complete opposite.

Who are we to say what is best or worst, right or wrong, and good or bad?

Be open-minded. Be careful to who and what we listen to. It could be a subjective opinion.

Enough

I fear I’m not living up to my potential and am not getting it all out of me.

I fear I’m not making anything of myself and am not living up to my standards.

I fear I can be more and do more.

I equally fear getting caught up in the rat race and living for money.

I won’t let money control me and won’t let possessions possess me.

Cars and houses don’t define me.

I often remind myself I have enough. I have enough to meet my needs and survive.

Keep pushing to better ourselves. Keep pushing to live a better quality of life.

But remember, we are good enough today. We can be content, happy, and at peace wherever we are.

Don’t doubt yourself. Don’t question yourself. Just live and enjoy life today. Make the most of it.

Master the Important

I have no interest in mastering anything unimportant to me.

I do have an interest in mastering myself and a handful of priorities.

Why waste time mastering anything we don’t care about?

Before we commit ourselves and our lives to anything, make sure it’s important to us, make sure we care about it, and make sure it makes us happy.

Comfortably Uncomfortable

Being comfortable feels safe and cozy.

If we want to change ourselves or our lives or do something we’ve never done, we most likely will feel uncomfortable.

When we feel uncomfortable, don’t retreat to comfort.

We feel uncomfortable because we’re changing or growing.

Keep advancing toward whatever it is that we want.

Be

It wasn’t too long ago that I chased entertainment, fun, and pleasure.

I thought short-term. I constantly pursued my next high and searched for instant gratification.

I’ve changed. My values have changed. I’ve matured.

I’m learning to be – be present, be content, be happy, and be at peace.

Stop chasing. Start being.

Chasing is exhausting. Being is relaxing and soothing.

The Process of Elimination

Knowing what we don’t want puts us one step closer to finding what we do want.

Explore. Experiment. Try something new. Do different things.

We learn what’s right for us through experience.

Each time we cross something off the list, we inch closer to figuring it out.

Don’t settle for a life we want want to live. Don’t accept unhappiness. Don’t be unsatisfied.

Live a meaningful life. Live with purpose. Be fulfilled. Be happy.
